As you may recall, a month or so ago we shared the story of a very special local teacher named Marina Orozco-Ngu.
To show appreciation for our hard working local educators, we opened the door for our community to nominate a teacher to receive a free paint job in the room of their choice, along with a gift card to a local home improvement store.
Marina was the winner of our 2020 Painting Giveaway, and she chose her less-than-optimal home office as the space to transform. If you haven’t already read it, please take a look at our first article here, just to get to know Marina a bit more (and her heart for teaching).
So, with that said, let’s get to the fun part and check out her new-and-improved office!
Before...
Emails, lesson planning, videos for remote learning... It all happens here. Marina was DEFINITELY ready for a new look in this multipurpose room!

During...
It all starts with careful prep! The magic is in the details.

And, After!

The final note we received from Marina just couldn't have made us happier:
We have finally been able to declutter quite a bit and redecorate with the new color scheme of the accent wall! This makes us feel so much better, and for me especially, gives me a new sense of organization that I need so much this year. We are back to remote teaching until the earliest, January, so I feel I am able to make much better use of this space. If you notice on the white wall, I have two art prints of Diego Rivera's pieces. The one with the mother and child is one I chose originally because this represents teaching to me. We don't have children of our own yet, but every year, I feel that I get to know 20-25 of my own "kids" through my classroom. So, I love that they stand out much better now and they are not there to hide the unsightly pink paint that was behind them! Please pass my sincere gratitude to your company and to everyone who made this happen. I am truly grateful to have a more calming space to prepare lessons, hold class meetings, and attend staff meetings online.
Merry Christmas to you all, Happy Holidays, and best wishes for your company and its generous staff!
We'd like to extend a very special thank you to our team for their involvement (and contagious enthusiasm!). Such a pleasure! Thanks for following along, and we can't wait to share our next project
